The Dance Journey

I'm so excited to have traveled from Minnesota to Arizona for one of the biggest dance events in my dance journey.   I will be dancing for the next 3 days here and will be auditioning for a Lead Counselor role with Camp Pulse on Tour. After some family time hiking the beautiful Red Rocks in Sedona and completely freaking out at the Grand Canyon watching my little sister flip herself all over the rim of the canyon I am ready to dance!  I got to Camp Pulse in Scottsdale yesterday and had such a fun day hanging out with my Camp Pulse family/dance friends. We rehearsed a really cool dance that we will perform as a group, its going to be one of the best yet! Today I can't wait to start dancing and performing. I have grown so much since I have been coming to Camp Pulse.  I am ready to perform and show everyone why I should be a strong consideration for Lead Counselor. Stay Tuned!
Shout out to my YPAD family and Leslie Scott for helping me see my inner strength and the importance of sharing dance to heal others, this is going to be my best year in dance ever!  And Shout out to all who have mentored and trained me this year to have brought me this far!

Dance Family

Hello everyone it's Nadia and I'm so excited because this is my first blog post, yay!
Okay back to business, today's blog post topic is as you can tell by the title, Dance Dads/ Dance Families. Oh and by the way Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! Alright Nadia...focus. My family has always been so supportive of me not just in dance but in everything I do, they always let me make decisions for myself, and if I don't want to do something they don't make me. For all the parents reading this let your children make their own decisions when it comes to dance, they’ll be so much happier. Of course my parents always try to give me a gentle nudge but don't really make me do anything I don't want to do.

For the kids reading this, never take your family for granted, always remember that some other children aren't as fortunate as you are and don't have a family that supports them and takes them to dance class, so remember when your family gives you a gentle nudge try to consider, taking that extra dance class, or taking a more challenging class, or even practicing a little more after dance class. Your family is always trying to help you not hurt you. Even I need a reminder sometimes.
Some of the best times I've had is when I've traveled some where for dance and gotten to spend separate time with my mom or dad. Here is picture of me and my dad from last summer in California.
